Born on the Gold Coast, grown in Townsville, Educated in Toowoomba and now established in Brisbane... I come from Queensland, Australia. With the amount of cities I have lived in, I have learnt to value much, and to never shy away from my next adventure. It has made me a fearless and unwavering man who approaches any situation with courage and honour. Adaptability is something I have learnt to be an important skill too. For example, Townsville was a vastly different home to the one I have now in Toowoomba. My thirst for Adventure does not restrict me to only Pursue my career in Australia, I am eager and willing to jump the water around my home to other parts of the world.
I have been a creative since I was young. I knew I would always pursue some form of Arts as I got older but never knew what field. Growing up, my Father worked in as a maintenance man and would often require my help. Helping him with construction and 'building' made me develop a love for building, moulding and designing, so from there I knew I wanted to work as a modelling and designing artist for films and games. As most of the world's artists did, I was drawing from a very young age. I drew characters from all sorts of franchises and even from a young age was drawing my own originals. It is why I aim to have my own studio someday that I can use to publish my own I.P's.
Beginning my artistic career in 2019, computer-based art that is, I attended the Creative Arts University; JMC Academy. While attending, I studied a bachelor's degree in game design, which gave me minor skills in programming and animation, but I instead decided to focus on building 3D asset, Characters, Props, Environments. While studying, I was shown how to use Maya from the get-go. Now, with the years I have using it for both Professional and Personal work, I am confident that I can use it efficiently and effectively for any type of project. The same goes for ZBrush, I am still yet to master the deep inner workings of ZBrush but I am confident that now I have used it in a professional studio (Big Ant), I have a better understanding of its technical tools. Adobe has always been an integral part of my skills; Substance Painter and Photoshop have been effective in creating both personal and professional textures, whether I am trying to create realistic faces for the Big Ant game; Tiebreak, or compacting LOD's for game assets such as tennis racquets, I am able to navigate them with ease. Premiere Pro is a personal program I use for video creation, i.e. showreels and personal videos that I like to edit. Nuke, After Effects and Houdini are new ventures that I'm trying to break into, my professional knowledge of them is still at a junior level but I am eagerly studying to bring them in line to match my knowledge of other programs like Maya, ZBrush, and S. Painter. That way I will be able to bring my creations into the world, as well as opening more opportunity for me professionally. Marmoset, and Wrap4D are skills I picked up at Big Ant Studios. They were easy to pick up on after a week of learning the basics, and I now use them effectively for my own projects.
Who I am is very much someone I am sure is a valued person in the workplace. With my values and strengths to my weaknesses, I am an effective Artist who will get you what you want. No matter who you are, what your background, I am eager to be part of your team. During my time doing Freelance work and in studios I have learnt much about myself, especially my work ethic and devotion to getting my employer. I spare no time, and no thought of mind until i get my job done, while still being able to be and fun-loving character in the workplace. I am also easy to work alongside, as teamwork is something I hold dear. Growing up I played all sorts of team sports, mainly Rugby Union. During every game I knew I could count on my teammates and made sure they knew they could count on me. So, no matter what, I will always carry my own weight in the team and even offer my assistance to my colleagues if I feel confident enough that I can help.

Values

- Integrity: Staying true to who I am is key to my approach to a studio. I want to be who I am, but I will represent a brand with Honour, Respect and Pride. - Bravery: Tackling any issue that comes my and putting my hand up to help solve problems is a big part of who I am in the workplace. That also means I know my limits and the range of my abilities, so I am not afraid to ask for help. - Teamwork: Working with others as the gears of the clock so we may turn the hand was a guaranteed skill I had from a young age. I communicate well, and break language barriers to assure I can work well with anyone. - Respect: No matter who you are, no matter what you do. I will treat as I would treat a friend, we are all human and it is important to lift each other up when we are down and engage with everyone equally.

Strengths

- Dedication: Devoting myself to my work has always been a big part of who I am. Though I am able to balance life and work, I always put my best foot forward to go above and beyond for the studio I am a part of. - Adaptability: I have adapted in a professional environment to new programs, technology and even unfamiliar pipelines, and can confidently say that I was always efficient and effective. - Strength: I do not fault under pressure... I thrive in it in fact. I do not crack or change my ways when dealing with difficult situations. I think about what I need to do and then I do it.

Weaknesses

- Challenging Egos: I tend to not cater to big egos no matter who they are, whether that be a co-worker or boss. We all have our roles to play but respecting each other is key. - Confidence: As most artists do, we struggle whether or not to believe if what we have created is 'enough'. I struggle with this and often seek validation from coworkers to assure it is good.
